ALERT

ATTENTION ⚠️

On Friday June 14th, 2024 at 11:30PM (UTC), maintenance has been scheduled for iLab ERP and this will affect institutions utilizing the financial integration feature on iLab. Maintenance is planned for 15 minutes and during this time, there is a server downtime of no more than 10 minutes. iLab Sites will remain operational for daily workflow and access. Details and updates can be found on the Agilent Status Page

INACTIVE - ARC - Imaging & Surface Science (ISS)

Important Announcement:

MMA, BIO and ISS iLab seats are merging into one iLab seat for ARC to simplify service requests, equipment scheduling, and billing across multiple ARC centers/labs. This change is anticipated to take effect on September 1. More information will follow.

Overview of Services

Center for Imaging and Surface Science (ISS) is part of the Analytical Resources Core, an Institutional Core Facility at CSU. The ISS director is Jeff Field (jeff.field@colostate.edu).

Follow the links below for the iLabs pages of the other branches of the ISS:

ARC-MMA (chromatography, mass spectrometry, materials analysis, NMR, spectroscopy, X-ray)

ARC-BIO (proteomics, metabolomics, ionomics)

Microscope Development

  • In addition to the instrumentation listed above, the MIN provides microscope development services. If the instrumentation available in the MIN does not meet your needs, or if you are interested in pursuing a specific imaging technique that cannot be done with the current instrumentation, please contact our director for a consultation. In some cases, we are able to utilize novel research tools under development elsewhere on campus for preliminary imaging studies.
  • Alternatively, we may be able to design new imaging platforms tailored to specific applications. Please contact our director to schedule a consult.

Acknowledgement in Publications

Acknowledgement of facility contributions is expected in publications that include any data generated in the facility.  An example of an appropriate acknowledgement is “The authors wish to thank the Analytical Resources Core - Imaging & Surface Science Center (RRID: SCR_021758) at Colorado State University for instrument access, training, and assistance with sample analysis.”
