Molecular Quantification Core

Overview of Services

The core offers access to the following instrumentation:  

 

  • Biorad Digital Droplet PCR (one droplet reader, 5 droplet generator/PCR combos)
    • Scheduling is required for all stations
    • The current charge for the dropelet reading is $1.97 per sample and $2.35 per run/plate
    • Droplet Generators are free to use
    • Training is required before users can schedule/operate equipment
    • Request training on ilab
  • Azure Sapphire Biomolecular Imager
    • Available on a "first come, first serve" basis 
    • You will be charged either a flat fee (major users) or a per minute fee (less frequent users)
    • Contact Carol Wilusz or John Anderson for software.
    • Performs Phosphorimaging, Chemiluminescence, RGB and NearIR Fluorescence
    • Scan western blots, gels, plates, slides/sections, phosphor screens
  • Qubit Fluorometer
    • Available on a "first come, first serve" basis
    • No charge for use
    • Can be run by a trained facility technician (upon request, please email charlotte.avanzi@colostate.edu for a quote) 
  • Agilent 4150 TapeStation
    • Scheduling is required for all stations
    • No charge for use so reagents are not provided (loading tips, tapes, buffers, optical tubes/caps) 
    • Training is required before users can schedule/operate equipment
    • Request training on ilab
    • Can be run by a trained facility technician (upon request, please email charlotte.avanzi@colostate.edu for a quote) 

 

Users provide their own reagents and set up their own assays. The core provides training and equipment maintenance.
